RECIPE: Tofu Tacos

 

I don't label myself a vegetarian or a pescatarian, I just eat the foods that my body thrives on and red meat is not one that works for me. So at times, when I want to pretend I am eating meat :) I use tofu. I don't eat tofu all the time, but it is nice to have here and there to change things up. I also don't like to use veggie meat since all of those items are packed with bad ingredients. 

I usually just use veggies for taco night, but this time I needed a change. So, I made tofu tacos with the air fryer and it definitely was a hit with all the dudes. For my dudes, I did Siete foods taco shells and when I made mine, I did butter lettuce with a side of jicama with guac.

 

 

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Drain your tofu for at least an hour or so by placing paper towels on a plate, sit the tofu on the paper towels, get more paper towels to put on top of the tofu, add a plate on top and sit a jar of something with some weight on top
  2. With your hands crumble the tofu in a bowl to make small crumbles
  3. Spray the tofu with the avocado spray all over
  4. Add the Siete seasoning and stir
  5. Cook in your air fryer on 400° for about 10-15 min
  6. In a skillet on the stove heat the salsa and add the tofu, stir for just a few minutes
  7. Stuff your shell with the tofu (use the Siete shells or butter lettuce) and add all your fav toppings
